We are situated in the beautiful foothills of the Drakensberg, on the picturesque Midlands Meander. Just off the R103, in Rosetta, 12kms from Mooi River and 8kms from Nottingham Road.
Shonalanga is situated on the banks of the Mooi River, with approx. 1km of river frontage. Our cottages are surrounded by large open lawns, paddocks and beautiful large old Oak trees. We are ideal for romantic and family getaways, in peaceful surroundings.
Shonalanga offers five Up Market self-catering cottages.
Cottage 1 and 3 sleep up to five guests and consists of an open planned fully equipped kitchen, lounge, main bedroom (Double bed), second bedroom (single bed), third bedroom (bunk beds which sleep two), bathroom with bath and basin and a separate toilet.
Cottage 2 sleeps up to four guests and consists of an open planned fully equipped kitchen, lounge, main bedroom (Double bed), second bedroom (bunk beds which sleep two), bathroom with bath and basin and a separate toilet.
Cottage 4 sleeps up to four guests and consists of an open planned fully equipped kitchen, lounge, main bedroom (Double bed), second bedroom (bunk beds which sleep two) and a bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
Cottage 1 to 4 have each got their own verandas and there are communal braai areas available between them.
Cottage 5 is our executive cottage. It consists of a kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom with bath, basin and toilet and main bedroom (double bed). Cottage 5 is separate from the other cottages and therefore more private. It has a small front garden and at the back, it has its own deck with braai and beautiful large Oak trees.
At Shonalanga, you are able to go for scenic walks along the Mooi River, go fishing or picnic. We are also situated close to many private schools, restaurants, golf courses, tourist attractions and the infamous shopping experience along the Midlands Meander.
So whether you looking to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax, go fishing, exploring or shopping, Shonalanga is the place to be and we look forward to welcoming you to our cottages.
